Ketorolac 10 mg, 10 tablets

Ketorolac 10 mg is a prescription non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with strong analgesic properties, used under medical supervision for short-term management of moderate to severe acute pain (post-operative, trauma, renal colic). This pack contains 10 film-coated tablets and is manufactured by RUP "Belmedpreparaty" (Belarus).

  • Dosage form: Film-coated tablets
  • Pack size: 10 tablets
  • Manufacturer: RUP "Belmedpreparaty"
  • Country of origin: Belarus
  • Product category: Analgesics / NSAIDs

What ketorolac is used for

Ketorolac relieves moderate to severe acute pain but is not intended for chronic or mild pain. Typical indications include post-operative pain, acute musculoskeletal pain and renal colic. The analgesic effect is comparable to low-dose opioids without causing respiratory depression. Treatment is strictly limited to a short course — usually 3–5 days — because of gastrointestinal and renal risks associated with prolonged NSAID use.

How to use

Take exactly as prescribed. The usual starting dose is one tablet (10 mg), repeated every 4–6 hours as needed, not exceeding 40 mg daily or the prescribed course length. Swallow the tablet with water, preferably with food. Not more than 5 days of continuous use are recommended unless specifically advised.

Possible side effects

Common: gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, stomach pain, loose stools, headache. NSAID-related gastrointestinal bleeding, perforation and renal impairment are possible even with short courses. Report to your doctor: black or bloody stools, severe stomach pain, unusual bruising or bleeding, swelling, reduced urine volume, or allergic reactions.

Important precautions

Do not use if you have active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding, severe heart, liver or kidney failure, bleeding disorders, or after coronary artery surgery. Not recommended during pregnancy (especially the third trimester), breastfeeding, or in children under 16 years. Tell your doctor about all medicines — anticoagulants, other NSAIDs, and lithium need special attention. Avoid alcohol during treatment. Do not combine with other NSAIDs or aspirin.

Storage

Store below 25–30°C in the original package, protected from moisture, and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.
