What Chloropyramine is used for

Chloropyramine is used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions, including allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis, urticaria (hives), skin itching, angioedema and other acute allergic reactions, as determined by a physician.

How to use

Tablets are taken orally with water, preferably with meals. The usual adult dose is 25 mg three to four times a day; the dose and duration must be determined by a doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Possible side effects

The most common side effects are drowsiness, weakness and dry mouth; occasionally gastrointestinal discomfort. If unusual reactions occur, stop taking the medicine and consult a doctor.

Important precautions

May cause drowsiness — avoid driving and operating machinery. Avoid alcohol during treatment. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if clearly prescribed. Tell your doctor about kidney, liver or prostate conditions and glaucoma before use.
