What levocarnitine is used for

Levocarnitine is a naturally occurring substance involved in energy metabolism: it transports fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are converted into energy. According to the manufacturer's summary of product characteristics, Carnitene is indicated for the treatment of primary systemic carnitine deficiency and secondary carnitine deficiency associated with inborn errors of metabolism, as well as carnitine loss in patients with end-stage renal disease on haemodialysis.

How to use

The contents of one container can be taken as is or diluted in a small amount of water or another drink, as prescribed by a physician.
