Urofuragin max 100 mg 30 tab. is an effective drug intended for the treatment of urinary tract infections. Each tablet contains 100 mg of the active substance, ensuring maximum effectiveness in the treatment of the disease. This medicine can be prescribed by a doctor to combat cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis and other urinary tract infections. Urofuragin max has a fast action, which allows you to speed up the recovery process and get rid of unpleasant symptoms of infections. Composition
The active ingredient of the drug is furazidine (furazidine), also called furaglna.
1 tablet contains 100 mg of furazidine.
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline silicon cellulose, magnesium stearate, anhydrous colloidal silica, carboxymethyl-containing starch type A.
Dosage
This medicine should always be taken exactly as described in the patient's brochure or in accordance with the recommendations of a doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dose
is adults and adolescents over 15 years of age:
First day of use: 400 mg per day in 4 divided doses (1 tablet every 6 hours); next days of treatment: 300 mg per day in 3 divided doses (1 tablet every 8 hours).
The tablet can be divided into equal doses.
uroFuraginum Max should be administered during meals.
At the same time, follow a protein-rich diet.
The drug should be washed down with plenty of liquid.
The drug is usually used for 7-8 days. If symptoms worsen or do not go away after 7-8 days, consult a doctor.
Action
The active substance of uroFuraginum Max-furazidine inhibits the growth of many bacteria that cause urinary tract infections.
Indications
UroFuraginum Max is used for lower urinary tract infections.
Contraindications
When not to take uroFuraginum Max:
if you are allergic to furazidine or nitrofuran derivatives or to any of the other components of this medicine,
in the first trimester of pregnancy,
during full-term pregnancy (from the 38th week) and childbirth, due to the risk of developing hemolytic anemia in the newborn (anemia associated with the breakdown of red blood cells),
if you have peripheral polyneuropathy, for example, diabetic,
if the patient has a deficiency of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (disease, associated with a genetically determined deficiency of an enzyme involved in transformations occurring in red blood cells),
if the patient has renal insufficiency (oliguria, anuria), and laboratory tests have revealed creatinine clearance below 60 ml/min or elevated serum creatinine levels.
Side effects
Like any medicine, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone has them.
Among the side effects observed during clinical trials, probably related to the use of the drug, the most common were:
nausea,
headaches,
excessive release of gases.
Warnings and precautions
The drug contains lactose.
The drug should be stored in a place that is invisible and inaccessible to children.
Use of other medicines
Tell your doctor about all the medications that you are currently or recently using, as well as the medications that you plan to use.
uroFuraginum Max should not be used together with:
sulfonamides,
quinolones,
aminoglycoside antibiotics and tetracyclines.
Antacids inhibit the absorption of the drug.
B vitamins increase the absorption of the drug.
The use of the drug with food and drink
UroFuraginum Max is best taken with a meal containing protein, as it increases the absorption of the drug. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment with furagin.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
During pregnancy and lactation, consult your doctor before use.
The drug should not be used during pregnancy.
Impact on laboratory research
The drug may cause false positive results of glucose determination in urine. Before taking a urine sample for such a study, it is necessary to inform the medical staff about taking the drug urofuraginum Max.
Effects on fertility
uroFuraginum Max has a negative effect on sperm in men.
The use of the drug in children and adolescents
It should not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 15.
