Droxidopa (Dops OD) 100 mg – 100 Tablets

Indications:

Droxidopa is used to treat:

• Neurogenic Orthostatic Hypotension (NOH) – A condition causing severe dizziness or fainting due to a sudden drop in blood pressure upon standing.
• Parkinson’s Disease-related hypotension (as prescribed by a doctor).

Dosage & Administration:

• Recommended Starting Dose: 100 mg, taken 2–3 times daily (morning, midday, and late afternoon).
• Maximum Dose: Up to 600 mg per day (as directed by a physician).
• How to Take: Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food. Avoid taking it close to bedtime to prevent elevated blood pressure while lying down.

Precautions:

• Hypertension Risk: May increase blood pressure—monitor regularly.
• Heart Conditions: Use with caution in patients with heart disease or arrhythmias.
• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Consult a doctor before use.
• Avoid abrupt discontinuation.

Side Effects (Seek medical help if severe):

• Common: Headache, dizziness, nausea, fatigue.
• Serious: Chest pain, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, confusion.
